Psychosynthesis Academy is an educational non-profit professional training organization which has been operating in Stockholm since 1989. We are dedicated to the principle of synthesis as it is expressed at the individual, group. organizational, societal and global levels. We seek to facilitate personal and spiritual development leading to the alignment with and expression of purpose and service to ethers in a wide variety of professions. We are interested in the further development of Psychosynthesis at research, theoretical and practical application levels.

We offer a three-year Professional Training Programme in Psychosynthesis which prepares students to use the Psychosynthesis model in various professions. A fourth year, plus clinical practice, is added for those who want to practise Psychosynthesis in a therapeutic environment. We have three to four groups in training per year with an average of 25 students per group.

 Three times a year we offer the Essentials, a comprehensive introduction to Psychosynthesis theory and practice, as well as shorter courses with a variety of themes, such as movement, creativity, and personal development for individuals and certain target professional groups. In October 2000 we are offering a one-year training programme, "Meaning and Vision in Action", aimed at professionals who want to work with Psychosynthesis in organizations.

A Board of Directors oversees all policy and financial matters and an independent psychiatrist and external moderator are consultants to monitor the professional and ethical conduct of staff and trainees during the education and in practice cliënt clinical work. A majority of the trainers, supervision staff and visiting international trainers have many years of experience in Psychosynthesis and other models of psychology. Psychosynthesis Academy is a member of EAP, European Association for Psychotherapy, and an active and founding member of EFPP, European Federation for Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, and EFP.
