S.I.P.T  Societa Italiana di Psicosintesi Terapeutica
S.I.P.T. was founded in 1973 in Florence, Italy, by a group of Roberto Assagioli's pupils. Assagioli encouraged the founding of the Society to train professionals in psychotherapy according to the Psychosynthesis model. A school for this was created within the Society, called Scuola di Psicoterapia Psicosintetica. In 1994 it was officially recognized by the Italian Government and accredited för its training of psychologists and medical doctors in psychotherapy. It is the only school in Italy that trains in Psychosynthesis psychotherapy. Laws regarding the training of psychotherapists have recently been revised. and the School's programme is accordingly based on a four-year curriculum with 2000 hours, in group, of comprehensive theory. practical training, specific teaching of Psychosynthesis methods; it includes basic instruction on other psychotherapeutic methods too, and extensive supervision and experience in public structures outside the School.
Students also have at least 30 hours per year of individual sessions. The Teaching Staff are Psychosynthesis Trainers, University Professors and other qualified teachers.
